Our History
Pastor Chris Allen enjoys the opportunity to help people see just how Jesus Christ loves them. He took over as the lead Pastor of Broken Spoke in 2019. Pastor Allen grew up in Mobile, AL and moved to Jacksonville, NC when proudly joining the United States Marines in 1998. In August of 2004 is when he started his ministry work. While times have certainly changed, the crux of his message has not – the truth of Scripture, the power of the cross and the greatness of grace. As an engaging preacher, Pastor Allen has a way of not only bringing Scripture to life but applying it to where people live. He is bold and honest and most known for his transparency.

Broken Spoke Church’s congregation is beautifully diverse, and the challenges of the day are complex, but Pastor Allen constantly points to the one place where true hope is found – Jesus Christ and His blood shed on the Cross.

Chris's biggest desire has always been to see people living God’s way in every aspect of their lives. Chris lives in the Onslow County area with his wife and two little dogs.​
Our People
When you walk into Broken Spoke, you will notice that we are just regular folks that love Jesus and each other. There are no “groups”, but one group - the church.

We like to cut up, joke around, laugh with and learn from each other’s experiences.

We help each other, love each other, and lean on each other.

We dress for comfort not fashion. We keep things simple because Jesus was simple.

Our sign has said from our very beginning : “Come as you are no judgement”, and we mean it. You will find a people that love without judgement and never shy away from The Truth of God’ Word.
